Brief on the Organization:

The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Hyderabad commenced with a mission to deliver public health education, pursue research and advocacy and support policy development. It lays strong emphasis on pursuing public health policy, practice, training and research, positioning its programmes according to the public health priorities of the state and the nation. The institute has brought together a highly qualified and diverse faculty of nationally and internationally trained and extremely motivated public health academics and practitioners. It aims to create an environment that supports excellence in instruction, research and practice.    

The Indian Institute of Public Health Hyderabad (IIPH-H) as an arm of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) aims to strengthen Public Health in India. The governance of IIPH Hyderabad is managed by a locally empowered society called the Institute of Public Health Sciences Hyderabad (IPHSH)


Project Brief

The Indian Institute of Public Health-Hyderabad (IIPH-H), in partnership with Ankura Group of Hospitals, is developing a comprehensive certificate course aimed at nurses dedicated to improving maternal and child healthcare. This specialized program is designed to equip nurses with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to address the unique and evolving healthcare needs of mothers and children. The course will cover critical aspects of maternal and child health, including preventive care, management of common health conditions, and best practices for providing holistic, patient-centered care. By the end of the program, participants will have developed advanced clinical skills and a deeper understanding of maternal and child health, enabling them to deliver high-quality care in a variety of healthcare settings, both in India and internationally. This course aims to enhance the professional capabilities of nurses, empowering them to make a significant impact in maternal and child health across diverse healthcare systems.

Deliverables:

  • Administrative Support

 Manage course content uploads and schedule in-person sessions.

  • Assist in organizing in-person sessions, including logistics.
  • Maintain and manage course-related documents and records.
  • Communication
  • Serve as point of contact for faculty and students on course-related inquiries.
  • Disseminate information from faculty to students.
  • Event Coordination
  • Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and other events.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, materials preparation, and attendee communication.
  • Student Support
  • Provide academic support and resolve student queries.
  • Manage student attendance and performance records.
  • Faculty Support
  • Assist faculty with course materials and resources.
  • Ensure timely submission of materials and assessments.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Assist in implementing quality assurance processes.
  • Gather feedback, conduct evaluations, and help develop course reports.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor/PI.

Qualification:

Essential:

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

Essential:  

  • 1-2 years of administrative or academic support experience.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in use of learning management systems such as google classrooms would be desirable.
