Brief on the Organization
Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Project Brief
IIPHG received a grant from the Department of Health Research, Government of India to establish a Resource Hub for Health Technology Assessment. The purpose of HTA is to support informed policymaking, and economic evaluation forms one of the core components of HTA studies. Hub will contribute to establishing a transparent and comprehensive mechanism of HTA for prudent and better allocation of resources, ensuring better equity in and access to healthcare in India.
Deliverables
Development of the state-level implementation guidelines from Real-world evidence on Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
Econometric Modelling- Design and Development: Validation and Calibration
Data and Uncertainty Analysis
Capacity Building activities- resource material development
Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisors in line with project needs.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Public Health with MBBS or BDS (Medical Degree in Bachelor’s) from a recognized university
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in evidence synthesis & Health Economics & Outcome Research (HEOR)
Desirable: Experience working with State and District Health systems and /or Research Institutions
