Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:    

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public-private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state, and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research, and policy development in Public Health. PHFI as SR is implementing the capacity building (Northern Region) and activities management for the HIV component of the GFATM for the period April 2024-March 2027. 


Deliverables:

  • Coordination with NACO, SACS, SR and Regional / State level Training Institutes.
  • In consultation with PD /APD, Coordinator, expedites the process of nomination of Point Person or Nodal officer of the SACS / DACS for rolled out of CB activities at their respective state / Cluster / District level.
  • Development / updating/ customization of Modules for State /district /facilities level cadres.
  • Coordinator, has to update NACO on the progress of training activities on a fortnightly, Monthly and quarterly basis. 
  • Preparation of monthly cabinet report and article for NACO newsletter.
  • He /She has to demonstrate ability to plan projects, understand budgets, and implement time bound activities. Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking skills
  • This position is based at Delhi level.
  • The position will require travel as per the need.
  • Any other work assigned by the Project Director and VP- Public Health Systems, PHFI.

Qualification:

Essential:

  • Post-Graduation in Social Sciences/ MSW/ MPH.

Experience:

Essential:

  • Around 5 to 8 years of experience in public health programs.
  • Working experience in the Central /State Government /NGO sector with partnership management/team lead.
  • Experience in the development of Training Modules/case studies /Presentations etc.

Desirable:

  • Working experience in an HIV/AIDS Program.
  • Experience in managing/leading the teams. 
  • Good writing skills in English, Hindi and regional languages.

Please note that Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
