Introduction

KHPT is a not-for-profit charitable entity that spearheads focused initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in India. In 2003, KHPT was founded with a mission to enhance the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities and our journey started with the focus on reducing the prevalence of HIV in Karnataka, specifically among most at-risk populations. These interventions were evidence-driven, systematically planned, rigorously implemented, and monitored. We succeeded in scaling impact well beyond Karnataka and KHPT became a learning site for innovative approaches. We work primarily in the fields of Maternal, Neonatal & Child health (MNCH), Tuberculosis (TB), Adolescent Health (AH), and Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC).

KHPT received funding support to focus on Improving Early Childhood Care and development (ECCD) through a life cycle approach – a pilot intervention in Tumakuru and Kunigal taluks of Tumakuru districts. An evaluation study has been designed to evaluate the influence of the intervention of pre-conception care for aspiring mothers through focussed training of Frontline workers (FLWs) on ECCD components for better pregnancy outcomes and improved childhood nutritional and cognitive parameters.

KHPT is seeking application for the following part-time position for 5 months.

Qualification, Skills & Competencies

• Minimum Bachelor degree in any discipline with 4-5 years of working experience in social sector specifically in the public health programs.
• Prior experience in data collection is desirable.
• Willing to travel extensively to all the Gram Panchayats /villages, and spend quality time with the respondent and concerned stakeholders.
• Fluency in written and spoken Kannada language and some computer skills is desirable. Spoken and written knowledge of English is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Administration of baseline questionnaire with the respondents using the application-based software.
• Coordinating with health staff and Community Facilitators for collecting the respondent data.  
• Conduct measurement of Height and weight of the Children.  
• Ensure daily synchronization of collected data and provide reports to the M & E Officer.
• Address any data quality issues promptly by revisiting respondents for completion of missing or inaccurate data.

Reporting

The Field Investigator will be reporting to the M & E Officer, Bangalore-KHPT.

Remuneration

The remuneration for the above positions will be fixed in line with internal policies and market standards, which will be set, based on qualification, relevant experience, budget availability and interview performance.

The above position demands excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills and also involves travel. Preference will be given to candidates who have work experience in the relevant field and local candidates with required experience and skillsets.
