Digital Bharat Collaborative (DBC), a part of Piramal Foundation, supports the government to transform the public healthcare system by building a robust digital delivery platform that ensures availability and accessibility of quality healthcare for all. Through this, we seek to enhance experiences of citizens in accessing government health services at the last mile.

This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Co-ordination with District Administration, Tea Garden Management, Development partners & PPP to scale up Saksham project activities
  • Facilitate Preparation of District Health Action Plan (DHAP) in coordination with DPMU and other stakeholders
  • Formation District Task Force for tea gardens under the chair of Deputy Comissioner
  • Scale up MAAdol activities to all blocks with tea gardens
  • Facilitate and organise participation of community representatives – Private health and non-health players, unions, CBOs, NGOs etc. in preparation of DAP through leveraging of platform of Multi Stake Holder Forum
  • Support district level leadership in monitoring processes of the District Program Management Unit and regular review meetings
  • Map out local and relevant organizations working in the area of community engagement and empowerment for potential partnerships
  • Facilitate partnership and convergence at the community level with the support of Block Management Units Facilitate rationalization & upgradation Tea Garden hospitals
  • Regular collation, preparation & sharing of program related data to the Zonal  data manager & SPMU
  • Provide support in innovations/interventions by other consortium partners.
  • Support and Advocacy on IT enabled services or interventions
  • To carry out any other task assigned by higher management 

Experience required:

  • At least 3 to 4 year similar position in Health Care or development sector
  • Prior experience in community-based work/ community outreach & mobilization programs
  • Prior experience in working with tea-tribe community in Assam is an added advantage
  • Prior experience of working in primary healthcare settings is desirable
  • Experience in innovative and effective community engagement approaches will be desirable
  • Familiarity with the Indian health system, and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly NHM, Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centres, RMNCHA+, Community Process guidelines, platforms and schemes etc.

Essential Qualifications

  • A qualification or degree in Social Work/ Social Science/ Political Science/ Public Administration and other related fields

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong inter-personal skills in terms of rapport building and community mobilization
  • Good understanding of community engagement processes and tools
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders include state and district government counterparts, development partners, field NGOs and civil society organizations
  • Familiarity with technology enabled community engagement efforts is added advantage
  • Knowledge on local and regional; cultural/ social context
  • Display qualities of empathy and openness
  • Quick and eager learner
