About Lifeline Foundation:
Lifeline Foundation is a renowned organisation known for establishing India’s first highway accident helpline number service. We operate at the crossroads of emergency medical services (EMS), road safety, prehospital trauma care, ambulance services, occupational health, industrial EMS, and training programmes. We are a recognised training centre for First Aid and Safety Trainings under the Factories Act. Additionally, we serve as an international centre for American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) courses, training AYUSH doctors, and various stakeholders in primary trauma care management. Lifeline Foundation is committed to promoting safety and health in communities and hosts conferences on road safety and industrial EMS.
Job Description:
Lifeline Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Senior Researcher to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating our programmes, conducting needs assessments, impact assessments, and contributing to the development of proposals. The researcher should be able to work independently, conceptualise studies, and implement them effectively. This role will be based in our office in Baroda, Gujarat, and may involve travel to programme sites for data collection, meetings, and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Evaluation: Utilise both qualitative and quantitative research tools to assess the effectiveness and impact of Lifeline Foundation’s programmes.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on topics related to emergency medical services, road safety, prehospital trauma care, and related fields. Analyse data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Needs Assessment: Identify the specific needs and challenges of the communities we serve and contribute to the development of tailored solutions.
- Impact Assessment: Evaluate the outcomes and impacts of our programmes to ensure they align with our mission and objectives.
- Conceptualise Studies: Independently develop research studies and methodologies to address critical issues in our field.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports summarising research findings, assessment results, and programme evaluations. These reports may be used for internal purposes, grant applications, or publication.
- Publication: Contribute to academic publications, articles, and whitepapers to share insights and best practices in the field.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with the team to develop grant proposals, ensuring alignment with research findings and programme objectives.
- Public Speaking: Strong public speaking skills are preferred for presenting research findings, representing Lifeline Foundation at conferences, and engaging with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Public Health or Science is required. A Ph.D. is preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant research and programme evaluation experience is preferred.
- Strong command over the English language is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, conceptualise studies, and implement research projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Experience in grant writing and proposal development is a plus.
Location and Travel:
- This position is based at our office in Vadodara, Gujarat.
- Travel to programme sites for data collection, meetings, and presentations may be required.
